The Size and Shape of Parking in Higher & Further Education Facilities
At the British Parking Association, research is a key aspect of our work as we seek to better understand current policy with regard to how parking is managed, implemented, charged for and how this varies between locations and facilities across the entire parking profession. This report is the first of its kind, setting out to examine the size, shape and nature of parking across the Higher and Further Education sector.
The process began in 2012 with the launch of the BPA’s Higher and Further Education Parking Survey. 52 Higher and Further Education establishments, representing around 34% of all those in the UK took part in the research, conducted with a series of questions asked via an online survey.
At the start of 2013, the BPA’s Policy and Public Affairs Team worked with Valued Research to analyse the data and produce the report you are reading today, which provides an overview of the data collected, together with some of the key findings grouped into specific areas.
The final report can be viewed here. Individual responses can also be read below.
Through the work of its special interest group for Higher and Further Education, the BPA will continue its commitment to advance knowledge, raise standards and professionalism and use its influence to deliver excellence for the benefit of all.
