Operations Manager

37 hours per week


Devon County Council is recruiting an Operations Manager for its Civil parking Enforcement Service

A self-motivated, enthusiastic and confident candidate is sought to join the Traffic Management Group to manage the day to day operation of Civil Parking Enforcement across the largest highway network in the country, with over 8000 miles of road. You will have responsibility for a team of approximately 60 operational staff, including Team Leaders, Senior Civil Enforcement Officers and Civil Enforcement Officers.

The team will be directed to provide high quality parking enforcement to ensure safe and expeditious movement of traffic in-line with County Policy and the Traffic Management Act 2004. The team also delivers enforcement services to off-street locations for both internal and third party clients.

You will not only ensure the smooth running of the service but also innovate to develop improvements and efficiencies in how officers are deployed and services delivered making use of emerging technology and national best practice.

Car Parks Manager

37 hours per week

£36,379 - £38,237 per annum

Warwick District Council is looking for an experienced manager to take overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the off-street car parking service across Warwick District.

You will have experience of managing a dispersed team and a service which operates  seven days a week. Car parking is a key frontline service that needs to be delivered consistently and to a high standard. It is also a service that needs to continue to improve and develop; therfore the ability to think strategically and to innovate will be essential.

You will have strong communication skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with local councillors, stakeholders and partners, possess sound judgement and a high degree of personal accountability.

This role suits a candidate who has previous experience in the management of car parks at a Local Authority or private company, or an experienced manager from a front-facing customer service environment. 

The post holder will report directly to the Head of Neighbourhood Services.
