'Park Mark' Launched

Park Mark Logo L for web

Born out of the old Secured Car Park Scheme, Park Mark became the quality mark of the new Safer Parking Scheme. The Park Mark logo was envisaged as a way to give a clear and recognisable message to drivers that a particular car park was safe and secure.

Each car park undergoes a rigorous assessment by specially trained police assessors.  Those achieving the award have management practices and security measures that actively reduce crime.

Accredited car parks can be found at train stations, hospitals, universities, town centres, shopping centres, leisure centres, airports, supermarkets, banks and office blocks.  The smallest has 10 spaces, the largest up to 13,000.  You can find them in cities, towns, villages and tourist attractions.
